About AUSTIN GARCIA

At 19 years old, I enlisted in the Marine Corps, allowing me to develop leadership and communication skills early. While working as a Ground Electronics Transmission Systems Maintainer in the Marine Corps, I was responsible for diagnosing and repairing millions of dollars of electronic equipment. In addition, I was in charge of managing a section of 6 Marines, making sure our mission was completed correctly and in a timely manner on a daily basis as well as being selected to attend classes for and receive my yellow belt in the Lean Six Sigma program. Upon getting out of the Marine Corps, I moved to College Station, Texas, began taking classes in Agricultural Economics at Blinn College, and began working at the Dry Bean Saloon as a doorman.

 

Working in the service industry allowed me to gain people skills, but it also reinforced my ability to maintain composure in tense situations. In January 2020, I was offered a position in Franklin, TN as a real estate assistant with the Stormberg Real Estate Group, where I was able to learn valuable administrative skills, become proficient with Microsoft office, and familiarize myself with the real estate industry in a large city such as Nashville. I am motivated to bring these qualities, diverse skillset, and ability to learn and adapt to my next position quickly and I am confident they will enable me to succeed.
